As a gift for completing the 365 Project my family made it possible for me to purchase a new 100mm 2.8 Canon Macro Lens!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I love you guys! Yesterday I went around my yard looking for subjects to photograph and the Tiger Lilies were happy to pose for me.
Here are some little know facts about these pretty flowers
* Tiger Lily has some toxic effects on cats. It can produce vomiting, in appetence, lethargy, kidney failure, and even death.
• The Tiger Lily denotes wealth and prosperity.
• When baked, lily bulbs taste rather like potatoes.
So keep your cats away from them then cook some for dinner. Cook the Tiger lilies that is, not your cat. Well you know what I mean.
Also, they are very easy to grow and they multiply each year.
This is called Pistil in the flower world. Holy cow am I gonna love this new lens!!
The center of one of my Clematis growing on the arbor.
And this clematis bulb should be open in a day or two.
Up close and personal.
This lens has been on my wish list for some time now and I certainly wasn’t expecting to get it anytime soon. So thank you Tony, Sammy, TJ, Kacie, Bella, Andy and Chelsea. Next to God you are my greatest source of encouragement and inspiration. I love you! Blessings on your head.
